Product design and UX direction · security operations · 2024
A security operations product that assembles the context an analyst needs, keeps each insight traceable, and leaves the call with the analyst.
The team had a strong engineering team, deep security expertise, and working AI analysis, but the primary user and product direction were still open.
- Decision
The product direction narrowed around the frontline analyst. Research showed that the main problem was assembling context scattered across tools, so the product focused on synthesis rather than adding another alert feed.
The company raised $15.25M in April 2024 and $23M more in February 2025, reached FedRAMP High alignment, and serves U.S. national security and enterprise customers.
- What I did
- User research, personas, competitive landscape analysis, product positioning, and UX direction. Early stage, alongside the engineering team, product demos.
- Role
- I researched the analyst workflow, developed personas for the security leader and frontline analyst, and mapped the competitive landscape to clarify where existing tools left gaps.
